Four Hands Episode 7 delivers a major twist: Nam Jung-woo may not have lost his memories at all.
After disappearing for nine years, Jung-woo suddenly returns as a conductor. Kang Bi-o approaches his old friend carefully, believing Jung-woo can no longer remember their past together.
Jung-woo even explains that after the accident, he woke up at a monastery and could not remember what had happened before or after it.
But then Episode 7 changes everything.
Jung-woo remembers
Later, Jung-woo receives a call and casually says that he remembers the place being mentioned.
It is a small moment, but it reveals something huge:
Jung-woo remembers his past.
His cold attitude toward Bi-o was therefore not simply the behavior of someone who had forgotten an old friend. He appears to have been deliberately keeping his memories hidden.
Why would Jung-woo pretend to have amnesia?
That becomes the much more interesting question.
If Jung-woo remembers Bi-o, he may also remember what happened nine years ago—and possibly the real reason he disappeared.
His decision to abandon the piano and become a conductor may also be connected to whatever happened back then.
Suddenly, his rejection of Bi-o feels very different.
He wasn’t pushing away a stranger.
He was pushing away someone he remembered.
And that makes Jung-woo’s nine-year disappearance one of the biggest mysteries in Four Hands right now.
The question after Episode 7 is no longer:
“When will Jung-woo get his memory back?”
It is:
“What does Jung-woo remember that he doesn’t want Bi-o to know?”
