Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” Fell to No. 93 — So Why Is Its Second Week on the Hot 100 Important?

At first glance, this does not look like good news.

Lisa’s new single “SaWaDiKa” debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100.

One week later, it dropped to No. 93.

So why are people talking about it as another milestone for the BLACKPINK star?

Because sometimes, staying on the Hot 100 matters almost as much as where a song peaks.

And for Lisa, a second week on the chart puts “SaWaDiKa” into a surprisingly small group of her solo songs.

“SaWaDiKa” is still on the Hot 100

Billboard’s latest chart shows “SaWaDiKa” spending its second week on the Hot 100 at No. 93 after debuting at No. 69.

Yes, the ranking dropped.

But the song did something many releases never manage to do: it survived for another week on one of the most competitive singles charts in the world.

The Hot 100 measures the most popular songs in the United States using a combination of streaming, radio airplay and sales.

For international artists, getting onto the chart can already be difficult.

Remaining there after the excitement of release week is another test.

And that is what makes Lisa’s second week interesting.

It is only Lisa’s third solo song to do this

“SaWaDiKa” is now Lisa’s third solo song to spend multiple weeks on the Billboard Hot 100.

The other two are “MONEY,” released in 2021, and “BORN AGAIN,” her 2025 collaboration with Doja Cat and RAYE.

That comparison gives the No. 93 ranking more context.

Lisa has released several successful solo songs and has enormous global recognition.

But only three of her solo tracks have managed to remain on the Hot 100 for more than one week.

“SaWaDiKa” has now joined that group.

So the story is not really:

“Lisa fell to No. 93.”

It is:

“Lisa stayed.”

The global numbers tell another story

“SaWaDiKa” is also continuing to chart outside the United States.

In its second week, the song ranked No. 35 on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. and No. 54 on the Global 200.

Those rankings also fell from the song’s debut week, when it entered at No. 13 on Global Excl. U.S. and No. 23 on the Global 200.

Again, that decline is not unusual.

New songs often receive their biggest burst of attention during release week.

The more interesting question is what happens afterward.

Does everyone move on immediately?

Or does the song continue to attract listeners?

For “SaWaDiKa,” there is at least early evidence that the song still has enough momentum to remain on all three major charts in week two.

The music video exploded even faster

The song’s Billboard performance becomes more interesting when compared with what happened on YouTube.

The “SaWaDiKa” music video surpassed 100 million views in approximately two days and four hours after its release.

That made it the fastest music video released in 2026 to reach 100 million views at the time of the milestone.

That is an enormous opening.

But it also shows why the Hot 100 story is different.

YouTube can demonstrate the extraordinary size and speed of Lisa’s global fandom.

The U.S. Hot 100 asks another question:

Can that attention translate into sustained consumption in the American music market?

The second week does not answer that question completely.

But it gives us another piece of the picture.

“SaWaDiKa” is only the beginning of Lisa’s next era

There is also an important reason to watch what happens next.

“SaWaDiKa” is not simply a standalone release.

It is a pre-release single for Lisa’s upcoming solo EP “PRESS PLAY,” scheduled for October 23.

That means the song is effectively opening the next chapter of her solo career before the full project arrives.

The strategy makes sense.

Release the song first.

Build attention around the choreography and music video.

Keep the track visible on global charts.

Then carry that momentum toward the EP.

Whether “SaWaDiKa” can stay on the Hot 100 for a third week will therefore be worth watching.

No. 93 can be more interesting than it looks

Chart numbers are easy to misunderstand.

No. 69 sounds better than No. 93.

And mathematically, of course, it is.

But a song’s story cannot always be explained by its peak position alone.

A huge debut can show how much anticipation surrounded a release.

Longevity shows whether people continue listening after that initial excitement fades.

Lisa’s “SaWaDiKa” still has a long way to go before anyone can call it a long-running U.S. hit.

Two weeks is only two weeks.

But it has already achieved something most of Lisa’s solo songs have not.

It entered the Hot 100.

And then it stayed.

That is why No. 93 may matter more than it first appears.
